FAQ

How do I book a photoshoot with you?

Click the button "Contact” button at the top of this page. Fill out the form and let me know you’re interested to put something on the books and about when you are looking to schedule. I’ll get back to you right away.

When do you schedule your photoshoots?

I shoot in late afternoon after school hours into early evenings on Monday, Tuesdays, Fridays, and some Sundays. During school holidays I may have more availability, just ask!

What types of sessions do you photograph?

My passion is to work with teens ages 15 and up which is roughly Years 10-12. I enjoy working with boys and girls, though I mainly shoot girls just because they are more into photo shoots. I also photograph middle schoolers from Years 7-9 when requested and find them to be equally fun to work with.

What happens if it rains?

I know it’s Melbourne! The weather changes from hour to hour. So if the forecast is set for dry weather during our time slot, we will proceed with the shoot and try to get as much done as possible before rain begins. If it is forecast to rain during our shoot, we will reschedule at no cost to you. There is no cost to rescheduling if it's due to weather.

What is the investment?

Details about the investment can be on the INFO page here. There is a $50 non-refundable deposit to book a session and reserve your date. I offer digital files, prints, canvas prints, metal prints, and albums as well. A menu of these options will be available after you book a session.

Do you offer digital files?

Yes, I do! I offer digital files along with traditional prints, canvas, metals and albums. I whole heartedly believe a photograph is meant to be displayed on a wall somewhere so I encourage everyone to print their images even if they are only purchasing the digital files.

Where will the photoshoot take place and how do you pick the location?

We will meet at an agreed upon location outdoors. Usually I like to choose a location that has some personal meaning to you. It can be anywhere from a park, urban area, natural reserve, your college campus, or even in your own backyard.

What do I wear and how do I choose?

I encourage you to choose a variety of outfits that you feel comfortable and natural in. I recommend at least 1-2 casual outfits, one more “smart” and one a bit more formal. Bring accessories like earrings, scarves, hats, too! We may not work through all your outfits, but having a selection to choose from will make the shoot more interesting.

Should I wear makeup or consider having makeup done?

I think a little bit of makeup to emphasize your best features is a good idea and can make you feel more confident in front of the camera. If you don’t usually wear any make up, just a little will go a long way. If you do wear everyday makeup, consider wearing a little bit more on the day of.

How far do you travel?

I shoot within a 25 km radius from post code 3150. There will be an additional travel fee of $1/km outside of that radius.  I also travel to Sydney a few times a year and I shoot around the North Shore. Contact me to see when I will be in Sydney next.

What happens after the photoshoot?

In 10-14 days from the shoot date we will meet on Zoom for your image reveal session. At that time, you will view a beautiful slideshow of the images from your session. I'll help you select your favourite images, and from those, you will choose which ones you want to make into prints or an album. Prints are delivered 3-4 weeks later. Albums require additional creation and delivery time.

What’s in your camera bag?

Depending on my mood, I’ll arrive with my fun, bright green House of Flynn camera bag or classy charcoal Everyday Bag by Peak Design carrying a Nikon D750 body, 45mm 1.4 Tamron, 85mm 1.4 Nikon, 24-70mm 2.8 Nikon, 70-200mm 2.8 Nikon, a fisheye lens, and Nikon SB-800 flash.
