I have a natural talent with words. I took a lot of writing classes during high school mainly for poetry and slam. I currently make music, specifically rap and hip hop music. I have been learning how to produce and be a good sound engineer so I can continue to put out good music. So far I have no solo projects, but the nonprofit I work with has released and album called Cratefull: Heart, Soul, Bars, which is available on Spotify. I want to start a production company where I can help up and coming artists whether they music, film, etc. have place where they can produce work to the best of their abilities and profit from their passions.

The thing I love most about San Francisco is the richness in culture and expression. In SF, for me at least, I think that you can never run out of things to do. You just gotta be creative. Whether you find a program and dedicate some time every week to that program, go to the mall with your friends to play Mortal Combat X at the Razor store, or you just run the streets until you get tired. Though I could not have become the student or person I am today without my high school, I had an almost terrible experience. I often times found myself unhappy or not fitting in. However, I made some amazing friends from the few I did talk to. One of which was my best friend Makayla. We were two of four black kids in our entire senior class and the only two who came from what many view as “the hood.” We were in a start up program together as freshman and we became friends from the moment we saw each other.

My hope for the future is to stop being jealous of my friends. So many of them seem to have blessings fall into their lap. I am genuinely happy for them because I know it came from hard work and effort. I want to have the ability to work hard like them and get to the point where I no longer have to feel any sort of jealousy because I can just sit back and be proud of ALL of us and how far we have come.
